6 Stretches you should be doing every day

Pain Management

Acupuncture can help manage and quell pain in most parts of the body. The insertion of the needles activates qi and endorphins (the “feel good” chemicals in the body) in order to help relieve pain.

Sometimes overwork (or underuse) or trauma can interrupt the smooth flow of qi inside the body, which renders the qi stagnant. This build up of qi is frequently what causes pain and discomfort in the body. Acupuncture and other TCM modalities (cupping, moxa, gua sha, etc.) can help manage the pain by redirecting the qi to flow freely throughout the channels in the body.

Sports Injury

Acupuncture has been cited by the World Health Organization to successfully treat over 44 conditions including pain and sports injuries. It can improve blood circulation in the affected areas, which speeds up the healing process. Acupuncture creates an anti-inflammatory response, which will reduce swelling and decrease pain.

Trauma interrupts the smooth flow of qi and blood inside the body, which causes pain and swelling.
Acupuncture and other TCM modalities (cupping, moxa, gua sha, etc.) can help manage the pain and speed up the healing process by redirecting the qi and blood to flow freely throughout the channels in the body, thus improving circulation and facilitating healing.
